Fun fact: Ernest Hemingway used to collect polydactyl cats and now, because of him, there is a abnormally sizable population of polydactyl cats on Key West, FL.

Ive been to the Hemingway house 20 or so times now (every year I visit) and it’s great. Now i just go to sit there and pet cats. I don’t even care about Hemingway.

Nonono, I meant to comment on the comment above you. My bad.

I can honestly take or leave Hemingway. I was never particularly a fan of his writing style.

Its a highland lynx, which are generally bred to have manx tail.

Fun fact: because of the manx tail, it has a high chance of being incontinent.

“there can be only one” is a common saying for the Highlander series of movies and TV shows, which refers to an in-universe event where “immortals” (they can be killed by decapitation) feel compelled to “the gathering” and slay each other until the last one receives “the gift”.

The series is named “Highlander” because the protagonist in the first movie, Connor MacLeod, is an immortal from the highlands of Scotland and often called “the highlander” by immortals, since he may be living under a different name (because even in fiction paperwork is a bitch).

Outside of the series, “highlander” variants of various games exist which impose a limit of a single instance of a card/token/spell/action where the standard rules have a higher limit or no limit.
