I was in Tokyo in 2007 and everyone was wearing jeans under jeans. I was convinced it was going to come stateside. I don’t think it was a full pair of jeans beneath an outer pair of jeans. But that’s what it looked like. It seemed like the response to how extreme the trend to wear your pants sagging had gotten. Sag as hard as you want, just wear another pair of jeans underneath so you’re not in your boxers.
