The jobs exist because they help rich people stay rich. They aren’t economically useless, just societally useless like most labor of wealth.

I personally find economics very interesting, but what I find especially interesting is how easily the very rules of economics explain why our economic system is bullshit. Once you get past all the jargon and obfuscation of what their economic strategies actually are, you realize our entire economy is in a death spiral in which all real value is stripped from society. The foundations of a productive economy are rotted away while nothing but the violent enforcers remain. This is the fate of every neoliberal economy.
