A menu of options being circulated by congressional Republicans also includes new tax cuts for corporations and the ultrawealthy.

What do you think Tariffs are? It’s the Trump Sales Tax.

Well, that was the opt-in stuff. There are other things that will get everyone, not just his dumbass supporters.

Nah that’s just him defrauding the people who voted for them after they are no longer of use to him.

Voters are of no consequence on a second term when your political party is literally a cult of personality. I can’t believe the republican party sold out so quickly for a cash grab like this.

Why does this joyless asshole insist on dropping political bullshit on Saturdays and holidays? I guess misery really does love company.

Idk but if he does it, things are about to get ugly. We’re (Canada) threatening to cut off power to places like NY and Wisconsin in retaliation. Ontario is also in an election cycle and the incumbent (conservative ironically) is running on a platform of being the toughest person to fight the US on this stuff, so he’s really going to fight it.

We’re all going to really be hurt by this shit

Indeed. I love our maple syrup cartel neighbors. Sweet death is vastly preferred to this mutually assured destruction of ‘tariff’ sales tax bullshit.

Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
