Brian Comer, a 64-year-old white man, was accused of illegally hunting geese at a golf course on the day Trump amplified racist lies about Haitian immigrants in the city.
IMMIGRANTS BAD
“What have immigrants done wrong?”
IMMIGRANTS BAD
“But immigrants are propping up our society.”
IMMIGRANTS BAD
Bigotry is illogical, and there is no reasoning with it.
Bigotry is illogical
Yet this isn’t even bigotry. It’s straight out xenophobia and hatred. The sanctimonious bullshit is just a fig leaf…
Yet this isn’t even bigotry. It’s straight out xenophobia and hatred.
Bigotry is the broader category containing racism, xenophobia, and hatred based on perception of belonging to a group.
Definition of bigotry: “obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.”
Bigotry isn’t ‘less bad than’ racism or xenophobia. Hating people for being from another country is one type of bigotry.
Bigotry is what Bostonians ask for when trying to find the perfect Christmas tree for their family
Trump the biggest blatant self centered jerk with lust ranging to exo atmospheric level and logic to a nanoscopic dot
Picture this sounding like a goose:
This looks like an AI image at first glance, but on a closer look I can’t find any artifacts. Please tell me it’s real and AI hasn’t finally passed my personal turing test. I’ve always been able to tell until now…
Nah, it’s real. Just a photo-op for a set of toys/collectibles.

Yup. $30 for a rubber duck is ridiculous.
Edit: it’s $30 on Amazon, or $20 on the actual site apparently.
I’ve always been able to tell until now…
How would you be able to tell if you could tell?
Man, now I kinda wonder if there should be an “AI-generated or not” website. Someone’s probably done one.
I’ve never heard of Haitian Geese. I hope they’re nicer than Canadian Geese.
They’re called Canada geese, not Canadian geese. Make sure you insult those fuckers with the right name.
Up here in Canada we just call it Peameal Geese.
Other names include Cobra Chicken, Royal Canadian Air Force, or Shitbirds.
The thing that actually needs to happen here is make hunting geese legal.
They are trash birds. And there are too many of them.
Build a wall on the northern border and have the geese pay for it?
OK, here me out: an Iron Dome but instead of keeping missiles out it keeps geese out.
Sounds potentially messy if we don’t scale it down. Would feat the purpose for me. The actual geese I am fine with, it’s the insane amount of geese dumpage that I do not approve of.
what if we instead built a tiny dome around each and every goose
Hunting geese is legal, but you need to follow hunting laws and regulations.
Canada Geese are protected by the migratory birds act between Canada, US and Mexico. The only thing communities can legally do is take the eggs so they don’t hatch.
Well I wish they’d migrate once in a while, because they’re around here all year. They’re also mean if you happen to walk by one and they enjoy blocking traffic.
I fucking hate geese.
They produce an amazing amount of goose droppings.
Seriously. You can’t approach a pond at any of the parks around here unless you want to step in goose shit.
Oh, I agree. I have far too many memories of being chased around parks as a child in Regina by them. I’m not saying they are wonderful creatures, rather that their legal protections limit what we can actually do about them.
I grew up in Regina and remember my dad talking about not being able to swim in Wascana Lake because of the goose poo/cattle poo contamination.
Fyi Regina is one of the only major cities in North America not built on a major natural water source.
Wascana lake was created in 1883 by damming Wascana Creek, a low flow seasonal run-off stream, to serve as a reliable water reservoir for the town and railway (the railway used it as a watering hole for the cattle they transported)
The lake continued for a time to be used as a domestic water supply and for stock watering; it also supplied the new legislative building. A longer term effect resulted, however, when lake water was used to cool machinery in the power plant (now the Powerhouse Museum) that was built in the eastern sector. Heated water returned to the lake, causing that sector to remain ice-free through the winter, and several species of migratory birds made it their year-round habitat.
Canada geese are one of those, so Regina has a year-round population as well.
That is the exact park of my goose encounters, lol. It’s oddly comforting to know I was not their only victim.
Would Salt Lake City be another? The lake itself obviously isn’t potable.
It seems the City Creek Stream naturally ran from the canyon into parts of Salt Lake City.
City Creek Canyon, located northeast of Salt Lake City, collects water from 19.2 square miles of watershed that feeds the 14.5 mile-long City Creek stream. Since the arrival of the Mormon pioneers in 1847 this water supply has been used by first the settlers, and later the inhabitants of the City. It played a significant role in the valley’s early history, as the settlement was based on agriculture through artificial irrigation of the desert soil. City Creek was designated as the pioneer’s first source of water providing both irrigation and domestic supplies. Today it remains an important part of the City’s water supply providing water by gravity flow to the Avenues, Ensign Downs and downtown areas. PDF source
City Creek is a small but historically important mountain stream that flows from City Creek Canyon and across part of Salt Lake City, Utah, and into the Jordan River which empties into the Great Salt Lake. Source
Can I at least deport them? This is Indiana, not Saskatchewan.
I wish you the best of luck in convincing them to leave. If you’re successful, you must share your secrets.
Yeah, fuck them birds. They like to nest around mailboxes in my area.
Goose omelette… Probably Haitians will only be responsible as per Trump
And at this point, that act should be amended. The Geese are fine. There’s no reason to protect them now.
It has more to do with the fact that they are migratory birds. The egg thing is a carve out specifically for them due to their shittiness and that’s literal.
I’m sure people said that about passenger pigeons too at one point.

Bald eagles: Bald eagles are known to prey on Canada geese, particularly young goslings.
I feel like the US needs more bald eagles around goose hangouts.
Most of the eagles are Canadian, though.
Confirmed: Americans want to kill Canadians.
Only the ones that spend their time pooping on every grassy area in America they can find.
First Nations eat them birds. I’ve heard they’re fine eating. Of course, it depends where you hunt them. I met a guy who said they’d string a net over a beach at dawn or dusk during migration. He spoke highly of the event.
Ebenezer Scrooge seemed to think they were a delicacy…
Peace was never an option.
It’s like Canadians took all of their negative emotions, stuffed them into Canada geese and sent them south.
Cobra Chickens are mean.
