That’s only if you don’t account for the pain of acquiring a car or a home!

I think leaping in front of Dutch train is a quick and socially acceptable way to go directly to Catholic hell.

It is great you mention straight to hell because what a massive pain to everyone left to clean up the mess. Definitely not pain-free

True, but let’s remember that pretty much any suicide is going to cause a lot of pain to the people still alive, whether it’s losing a friend or getting delayed going to work or scrubbing viscera off the platform. I think the implication from OP was that they were referring to painless for the person who dies.

These were meant for eg a situation of nuclear fallout, where it’s clear that everyone is going to die slowly and painfully. To avoid that suffering.

Thank you for the clarification. Let’s hang out next nuclear winter.

Although dying naturally also does that, and we’re all expected to make peace with our mortality, so it’s a bit of a funny complaint.

I don’t think suicide gets you to hell, only to a boring purgatory where everything is mildly shitty and nothing works.
