Yes. I think what makes these apps appealing is that 1) they can be used unplanned and your time in them doesnt have to be structured, and 2) they can fill up an arbitrarily long or short amount of time.
I had to move to a country with a more introverted culture than the one I grew up in (not the US), and I’ve struggled finding friends to spend my free time with so far, so I spend it on apps :-( They really are just a last resort and I’d much rather spend my time with actual people like in the olden days :-/
I think this is a good opportunity to collectively discuss what is causing us to lead this lifestyle.
I like that they give you a starter pack
That looks like the 12in bolt to me
DK about jerboa but it still exists on Sync
They shouod also introduce Phone a Friend where it remotely opens a debugger on the dev’s computer.
Do you still use raw pointers? You know they’ve discovered fire? (Jk coming from C I too havent learnt how to use smart pointers yet)
This is a good point
They are so gay that you don’t need to look at their financial conduct
It becomes quite OOP if you use it with React
Warrrgh! and Peas
Notice that it isn’t publicly traded. I suspect that’s why it hasn’t enshittified.
