In World War Z, Peter Capaldi plays a W.H.O. doctor. This is a reference to him being the Doctor in Doctor Who.

    I don’t think that’s shitty, that’s a detail I find interesting.

Only by one month though. Decent chance it’s an intentional easter egg.

world war z actually filmed in 2011. it was pushed to 2012 for some reshoots, then to 2013 for tom cruise.

One of my favorite Who facts is that in 1972 Capaldi wrote in and insisted he be made president of the official fan club, he was told no. It’s hard to wrap my head around the idea of a 14 year old being so obsessed with a show doing that, only to go on and play the leading roll decades later.

Yes but credits aren’t written at film time, that happens near the end.

In Doctor Who, Peter Capaldi’s Doctor keeps telling people to just call him “The Doctor.” This is a reference to him playing a WHO Doctor in World War Z. He doesn’t want people to get his roles confused.

To be clear, this is a place for satirical and meta2 references. Not really the actual movie details, unless they’re truly stupid or have strong meme potential/background. “Oh hai Mark” kind of stuff. Tho sometimes even these can span a good debate.

For maximum funni, include full name of the movie, its release date and all the detail right in the title of the post.

Try to avoid actual shit and other nasty stuff. Mark nsfw when appropriate.
