Everyone knows how to sexualize female characters in video games.
But how to sexualize male characters and do “fan service” for the female audience?

Just look at the sheer number of women who like Severus Snape of all people.

I cannot blame them. Snape is a cool character and not just because he was played by Alan Rickman in the movies.

Snape was one of the few characters that felt ‘real.’ Like, yeah, I could imagine a half-abused kid forever being haunted by what he did in a gang when he realized his unrequited love towards one of the few people who were nice to him as a kid was never going to have a chance… because his gang fucking killed her.

Also, he didn’t care that the entire point of his gang’s existence was the genocide of his “friend” and those like her, so long as she was excluded.

Yep. As much as it just makes me sound like a cynical asshole, again, it felt like that was him acting just like a real person would. Plenty of examples to be made from the current united states situation bullshit.
