Exactly what I thought as soon as I read the headline. Of course the genocidal eugenicist fascist racist white Christian nationalist supremacist would be linked to this war.

They weren’t using fluoride anymore anyway because aliens make them gay if they drink the water. Gatorade is better because it has electrolytes

Interesting, because here in Baltics I just noticed my favourite toothpaste (Sensodyne Multicare) suddenly being very cheap (usually around 6 euros, I grabbed 4 tubes each €2.9).

almost as if they could not export it enough and got excess inventory (made in UK)

I work at a Haleon (they make that paste) site in the US. I think the UK formulation is quite a bit cheaper.

I think there’s pretty major difference in SKUs but as far as global vs domestic (for me) I honestly couldn’t tell ya.

              Hm…k

Would actually really nice to know what the differences of the same brand in different markets are

Same brand but the Sensodyne family is massive. Like too many formulations imo. It’s becoming a headache on the production side. 60+ different kinds of flavors, hot process and cold process, aqueous and non aqueous.

I think I saw on QI that they were talking about how a lot of the public water in England has yet to have fluoride added, and that people could supplement their fluoride by choosing toothpaste with fluoride and swallowing it after brushing.

Also, Wikipedia seems to say that you can get the necessary nutrients by drinking a liter of tea daily, as tea leaves also have fluorine compounds.

But you can also have problems if you ingest too much fluoride.

Don’t swallow toothpaste. That is not good for you. Also, have you ever wondered why people have those white lines across their teeth? Most likely cause is from swallowing toothpaste during tooth development

Listen dude, what you described is from ingesting too much fluoride, which is a problem that I mentioned if you’d read my entire comment. The swallowing of toothpaste is advice for people who are drinking water that hasn’t had fluoride added.

The point of my advice is what to do if they stop adding fluoride to your drinking water.

Just because you drank the water when it was fluoridated doesn’t mean you should swallow the toothpaste if the water stops being so. Once the fluoride was in your mouth it had already done its job, being absorbed directly into your tooth enamel. You were drinking the water because it was water, not because it was necessary to do so for the fluoride to work.

That’s why when you’re a kid getting a fluoride treatment at the dentist, they do it by putting gel in a mouthguard-like thing, rather than giving you a pill to swallow.

You don’t need to swallow toothpaste to get the flouride. A dentist will apply a gel or foam to the teeth/gums directly for children, as a topical application; I don’t think ingesting it is necessary.

that people could supplement their fluoride by choosing toothpaste with fluoride and swallowing it after brushing.

Just buy salt with fluoride. That avoids the microplastic of the toothpaste.
