From what I understand, sumo is a lot more than just being the heaviest dude on the mat. It’s actually kinda terrifying just how well they apply that mass.

The first non-Japanese to reach the highest level of the sport was American. I remember watching him compete and he was so different from the others. In a sport about pushing and strategic placement of your body he would just pick up and throw guys.
