I forgot I had kids for hours. This games dangerous.
Question
Are there profiles so different people can play?
Your account can only have 1 person per server/world and it is only for that world.
You can create/join multiple worlds, each has its own independent progress.
So for example, if everyone in a family of 4 wanted to play but only one account, they each could play independently on different worlds using the same account, but could never join each other’s worlds with any character other than the first made on that world.
No profiles, but there’s save slots so you could have a couple playthroughs going.
TBH, with how much criticism Square Enix received for including some AI-generated assets in Foamstars, I am surprised this game isn’t getting more condemnation from the anti-AI crowd.
Sounds good. I guess I should check this game out and forget about how mediocre my life is for a moment.
I am really looking forward to playing it now.
I’ve given myself a list of “grown-up-tasks” I have to finish before I’m allowed to, however. That game is an asset flip for sure.
This feels like a reference to that article that dropped yesterday making the same claims based on nothing but anecdotes, suppositions, and Twitter threads.
The game is fun. If this is a scam then it’s doing far too much work trying to be a full game
I spent HOURS flying around exploring a map that never seems to end. I found more than enough shit to do while exploring.
As you said, if it were an asset flip scam, its doing it wrong.
You can fly?!? Man, an here i was collecting all the land pals to slither on. Oh man, exploring is going to be so much easier now
Even if all the art was an asset flip, the underlying game has good mechanics and satisfying gameplay. People don’t play for hours straight even if a game is gorgeous is the game is boring.
I’m with you. Even after checking out gameplay and everything. It just seems like lots of low effort shit jammed together.
I suggest you watch someone playing it on twitch for 30m. Or watch a letsplay on YouTube.
It doesn’t seem like an asset flip. It’s heavily inspired by other games, and picks the best parts.
It’s feature complete (certainly up to level 30, haven’t seen beyond that) and plays well. Very few bugs, mostly just jank geometry in the gigantic map.I have, it’s dry. It’s a ‘as wide as an ocean, as deep as a puddle’ kind of game.
The devs couldn’t even finish their previous game, it’s sketchy.
i stand with you, my very downvoted brother. granted i’ve seen like 7 minutes total of gameplay, but it just seems like another “build base, do resource chores” game with some very reddit “dude what if you could SHOOT pokémon⁉️” sprinkled on top
Cool, i hope we get more great games like that i. The future.
27 hours spent on this damned game since Friday evening. Good grief. This kind of engagement has been rare for me lately, so I am super pleased on multiple levels.
Sure its simple and formulaic in ways. So what? The combo is scratching so many good itches.
I forgot to eat, 8 hours were gone in a blink. Been a long, long time since I had that happen. Game is good so far, I’d like to see more narrative in the future, but even in current state I’m having more fun than pokemon gen 9
Picked it up on a whim last night, have been playing it since.
Get some sleep!
I’m having fun with it on Game Pass but I don’t think I would describe it as a good game. It’s formulaic and low quality. It’s just a normal survival game IMO, although the aspect of collecting Pokémon is enough to keep the game engaging since it makes you want to collect them all.
It’s almost like you are describing a good game.
Plot twist: OP doesn’t actually have kids, they only have a carbon monoxide leak somewhere in their home and the kids are just hallucinations
That god damn landlord is at it again!
Much cheaper than real kids. Nice job staying frugal, OP!
