  • So applicants are being sorted by browser? How does that indicate adaptability? So if they use Netscape are they too old or too stubborn or too niche for the job? I use Chrome at work and another browser at home, does that mean I get moved to the top of the application list?

I would think some more interesting data points would be what OS were they on or how quickly and accurately they filled out the application or if their resume rambles on with no substance or if they haphazardly used buzz words or look for signs that they didn’t create their own resume.

That’s ridiculous and doesn’t suggest anything other than that’s their preferred browser. That’s just data to be collected for statistics and shouldn’t even be relevant. I’m interviewing the person, not their data, their data could influence if they get an interview if there’s actually something interesting in the data, but the browser just seems very odd thing to focus on.

It’s worse than you think, AI did the screening interview. I would have run from this company, if they’re willing to use AI to conduct an interview then they are going to treat you like crap if they hire you. They basically just let you know that you weren’t even worth interacting with by a human. Screw that place.

  • I have an old server/work station and dropped a old rx580 into it and put Linux on it then hooked it up to the TV. I use it to run older games on it no problem, think PS3/PS4 era games and Steamlink newer AAA games from my home tower when I notice it struggling or if it’s a windows only game. Works well enough, it also doubles as a web browser and media center PC. It also replaced my blueray/DVD player when I added a combo drive to the server.

I put Mint on it and I was considering putting Bazzit but I didn’t know if I should go through the trouble since Mint seems to be working fine.

I was also thinking about setting it up to double as a media server but I don’t want to pirate anything. But I wish I could legally put my DVD collection on it for convenience, I have plenty of old HDDs laying around for storage.

  • One of the founding principles is the freedom of speech and freedom of expression. So if anything they are representing the USA. If a group of pedos get to rule this country without censorship then Olympians can be athletes and speak their minds.

BTW, calling Jake Paul a boxer is like calling my grandma a boxer. I guess that’s what you call someone that puts on the gloves and becomes a punching bag for a real boxer.

  • I love this idea, but wait which bridge?

Like DS9 where everyone is all over place and shouting to be heard?

Like NX01 and TOS where everyone is facing away from each other and have to spin around to make eye contact because the cap likes to look at the backs of people’s heads?

Like DISC where everyone is spread so far apart (like they have cooties) and away from the captain that she can’t even remember who’s on duty and everyone but the helms women and the cap have to stand the whole time?

Like VOY and TNG where everyone has assigned seats and can actually see the TV (view screen)?

  • I do think they are onto something. I just want a dishwasher that washes dishes, a dryer that just dries, a refrigerator that refrigerates. I don’t need another camera and tablet or more “smart” crap in my home, it’s just one more thing to break or need updating. I just need things that work reliablely when I need them to work.

Also, less plastic in the manufacturing material would be great. Just me thinking out loud but it also seems like it would be easier to control the life span by using plastic because you can play with the chemistry to start breaking down at a certain amount of usage and temperature and age.
