  • I agree that the battery life isn’t great, but that’s the only issue I have with it.

It won’t notify you when it’s getting close to dying (Why would you need that on a watch last lasts a day and a half?)

Mine vibrates and gives a notification when the battery hits 15% or something. Might be 10%. I largely get by with just charging it when I get ready in the morning. And the battery life has also gotten way better since release, some of the updates made a big difference. It’s gone from maybe getting a full workday to easily getting a day and a half now if I put it in night mode overnight.

  • God I hope this is a good adaptation. I read all 6 books this summer and absolutely loved them. So many twists and turns in this series and while I’d love to talk about them, I don’t want to risk spoiling anybody. Now we just need the two epilogue books to get licensed for a translation. I know the author’s next series (an isekai in the same world but much later in time) is being released in English in January.

If anyone is curious, this is not an isekai, it’s a fantasy action romance series.

    Series description:

“My wish as champion is for you to descend the tower and be my wife.” Climbing a deadly tower, Oscar seeks the power of its master, the Witch of the Azure Moon. He hopes her incredible magic can break a curse that will kill any woman he takes for a wife. When the prince sees how beautiful Tinasha is, though, he has a better idea―since she’s surely strong enough to survive his curse, she should just marry him instead! Tinasha isn’t keen on the idea, but agrees to live with Oscar in the royal castle for a year while researching the spell placed on the prince. The witch’s pretty face hides several lifetimes of dark secrets, however―secrets that begin resurfacing…

  • Another great episode! If all the races are like this, I’ll be one happy camper. I hope they talk about locking up the tires and the repercussions of it in a later episode since Tokumaru kept doing it. I’m worried a viewer without any motorsports knowledge might be confused why the car seemed to be drifting at some points in turns after lockups. It’s a little exaggerated, but that’s fine.

And does Japanese F4 require any fuel saving? If not, the depiction of Haruka slipstreaming Tokumaru is a little off since there’s no reason to just sit there when passing if you aren’t trying to save fuel. It should have shown him getting sucked in and closing the gap, then darting out when he gets close enough. But whatever, that’s a minor gripe.

I’m loving the accurate depictions of the tracks as well. I race some of these tracks on iRacing, so it was cool to see Twin Ring Motegi in this episode and know where on track they were.

  • As a big fan of the light novel, I’m pretty disappointed with the entire dungeon fight. I like Ba’al’s design, but other than that it was really lackluster. The outdoor fight wasn’t near chaotic enough, and the Ba’al fight didn’t feel very dangerous. It all felt rushed, and the animation definitely isn’t helping.

In the LN, you can really tell that Angeline is in serious danger when fighting Ba’al, and she’s actually growing as a fighter during the battle. The final attack in the anime just didn’t have any impact, unfortunately.

All that said, this adaptation does really shine in the Turnera segments. The landscape shots always look great, and I loved Ange running to her dad. And really, their relationship is what the first few books are all about, so I can’t wait for more of this in the next few episodes.
