  • As another comment noted. If Hamas had more firepower they would use more firepower.

They are not morally Superior to Israel.

Hamas started a conflict with an obviously more powerful military. They knew there would be consequences but they still chose violence over diplomacy. Obviously diplomacy in the middle east is terrible but I would never think that attacking civilians is a viable alternative to diplomacy.

  • The history of Palestine is super messy. All sides have committed terrible acts to the other, coming back hundreds of years. Each side can always look at recent history and claim X has provoked Y or Y has caused a disaster on X.

You can claim this was a provoked attack. I for once can hardly justify an attack on civilians. You can argue, Israel has done worse in the past, and while each side is biased, perhaps you’d be right.

My point is. This is an endless discussion

Both sides are bad. IMO the best outcome at the moment is to stop the conflict as soon as possible

  • Man what a terrible choice of words.

By your standards I could provide a counter argument like: Has any Israeli launched an unprovoked attack on Palestinians and kidnapped 300 of them?

And then I sit on my biased moral throne and feel the meaningless superiority of my argument

Reality is not black and white. Both sides are bad

Hamas launched a horrible slaughter of civilians. they knew it would have consequences. The IDF would obviously retaliate but they are using too much force and causing extreme suffering

This war should stop as soon as possible. There is nothing to gain in prolonging this conflict

  • It’s just a media game

Every time Russia says “there will be consequences” they’re just throwing threats around like a dog barking from the other side of a fence

All their cards are on the table. The only things they could pull off are drafting more people or going nuclear

They’re now scrambling to find soldiers from other nations because announcing another draft would obviously shake Putin’s control over Russia

I just wish Europe would stop playing this war like a political game. SEIZE RUSSIAN MONEY! What are you afraid of? Ruining relations with Russia? Fuck off! Ukraine won’t have people to fight forever

  • I guess they antagonize anyone that has moderate exposure using their IP

In some countries copyright law says that if you let people use your copyrighted material with little to no impediment then you cannot suddenly request whoever is using your material to stop

Let’s say that Nintendo allows fans to make fan made Mario games for 5 years. Then they suddenly sue everyone and say “hey you have to pay for copyright or shutdown”. A judge can decide that since they didn’t enforce their copyright for some time they cannot sue people that are using their IP.

From a legal perspective the act of policing your own copyrighted material is the company’s responsibility. This law prevents companies from relaxing their copyright claims for years (essentially allowing people to use it) and then suing everyone for using their IP. In other words Just let everyone use it, then sue them. The law is there to prevent that

Nintendo is likely super strict because “let people use your copyrighted material with little to no impediment” has room for interpretation in a court room. So they go to the conservative side and shut down everyone. Also consider that they’re right next to China. The piracy capital of the world. It’s not a surprise they’re scared about their copyright.

I’m not saying that what they’re doing is right. It’s not. But I see where it comes from.

  • I guess this is targeting landlords that just live off the rent income and/or own multiple houses

You could argue that Landlords who only live off rent money are contributing nothing to society while still having a considerable income.

In Amsterdam for example, if you have 1 property in the state you’re allowed to rent normally, but from the 2nd property on you can only make your house available for affordable rent programs (for refugees, low income families etc)

Which is cool cause it discourages people to buy multiple houses and live off rent

  • I understand that you’re angry. Sure the initial comment was slightly snarky, and yes, a lot of frustration is caused by a large lack of willingness to address men’s issues.

But I’d just like you to find out what you want to achieve with your commentary.

If your objective was to raise an argument and change someone’s mind, then starting a conversation with

Stop pretending you know jack shit

    And

STFU about your cope bullshit Will never convince anyone

If you just wanted to express your anger, then I think it’s unjustified to direct it so intensely to the initial comment. The intensity does not match the casual tone of the comment and it’s uncalled for.

Maybe you just wanted to spend some idle time by commenting on posts. Sure that’s fair, but considering the stress you put into this I’d say that’s probably a net loss for your mood

    That’s not what’s happening here

Sorry if I misunderstood that. But your tone did not help with my understanding of your point

The problem is that they brought up men’s rights issues in the most passive aggressive snarky way

Sure I agree that the initial comment deserves some correction, but You will never get your point across by insulting someone. often to convince someone you should talk to them like they’re your friend. I know the insults might come more naturally than friendship, but respect is what effectively causes change.

I’m just suggesting you use your energy and patience more efficiently

I enjoyed this conversation, and hope you did too. Cheers

  • Hey, what’s up with the tone my guy? Message me if you need to talk fr

    Regarding the subject at hand,

Evidently women still have many issues coming from male dominant culture formed before the industrial revolution, there has been good progress but there’s still a long path ahead.

Men have issues coming from cultural norms too. imo the biggest hindrance for men at the moment is not nearly enough people talk about men’s mental health.

    MOST IMPORTANT NOTE IS:

Promoting solutions for women doesn’t mean ignoring men’s issues.

Promoting awareness to men’s issues is not against women’s interests.

When someone is promoting progress, let’s not jump to “there are bigger problems elsewhere”

If you want to promote change via debate, being aggressive is the worst strategy. Why not say “hey, I hear your argument for women, and on this note I’d also like to raise this other related subject about men’s issues.”

    That’s a win win conversation
