This is why I put “winning” in quotes. It’s meaningless, but it’s useful for specific observations about things like brigading.

Purely anecdotal, but I also feel like I’ve been seeing far fewer random .ml accounts defending fascist dictators in the past few days. Normally, a thread like this would be overwhelmed with them, and anyone who disagreed would have 5-10 downvotes. Today there’s exactly one, and the people shitting on him are “winning” the votes.
To be fair, this is also not Lemmy.world, or any of the more “mainstream” Lemmy communities.

That’s the funny thing about echoes: they tend to distort whatever is being said. Perfect for not letting pesky little things like reality get between you and what you want to hear.

Homie, you can’t even convince me to call it “AI.” It’s an LLM, an algorithm that pumps out letters in the order that we’ve taught it to calculate to be most desirable.
Inevitable “well, ackshually”: yes, I know there are a lot of legitimate non-LLM models out there, but that’s not what the colloquial conversations are talking about, and importantly not what Trump is talking about, as he has no idea what he is talking about.

I’m surprised his promotion took this long. CEOs who are willing to threaten to have their employees killed usually fail upward a little faster.
Well, on the bright side, his face remains extremely punchable.
A friend of mine pointed out that, thanks to the Ninja Turtles Set and some quantity of Marvel superhero slop, the most represented plane in whatever standard season it was was New York City.
Thanks, Wizards.
I’ve been enjoying “using AI is like using a hammer to put screws it a board. It looks fine and holds together for a bit, but the littlest bit of pressure or shaking and it starts to fall apart.”
