Buenos Aires has stepped up calls for the British government to hand over the Falklands to Argentina in the wake of the UK's decision to hand back the Chagos Islands to Mauritius.
Reason for this was the region was and is settled by British sailors. Most of the people are of British descent, people speak English etc. At the end of the day, they are tiny islands with 3k people living on them. They are a great source of saber rattling by Argentina and nothing more.
