That’s a dang good cat. Sorry your day’s going poorly, OP. You made my day a little brighter with this photo though :) Thank you

I used to cry in my car during lunch. If it’s because of your work, please find a different job. Good luck!

My place of work used to be downright awesome. Pulled me out of some deep pits when I first ended up there.

Few years ago the owner/CEO sold his 51% shares to another company, and it’s steadily been downhill from there. No more bonuses. No budget for fun stuff. Openings never get filled, but no raises for the remainers either. All the really top people (management & dev) left, most of the ones who stayed weren’t that great (including myself). And then they started filling positions, including the CEO, from the “mother company”.

On paper, it’s still awesome. In practice, it’s anything but.

Took me the better part of two decades to finally land a decent job and I feel like I’m back at square one with nothing to show for it.

Wow, that’s awful. I wish you lots of luck finding your next position. It’s really hard to look for a new gig when the day-to-day takes so much from you, but keep trying. You’ll be free of that bs eventually.

So sorry you’re going through it. Hoping you can find the strength to polish up your resume and spend some time on your days off looking for a better place to work. The best time to be looking for a job is when you already have one.

    She’s a very pretty cat!

Cats are surprisingly aware of your emotional state, they’re a very good companion when you’re going through a rough patch.

I hope everything is alright with you OP, but I’m glad you’ve got this girl to look after you!

I wish that’d been my experience. Having not even your pet care makes things even worse when it’s like that. Love hearing other people’s stories about it though

Particularly cats have a very difficult to read style of showing their affection. So your pet might care more than you think. All the best!

Sometimes cats are cats. Sometimes they’re Cat.

Groovy, chill cats are most people’s preference, but the cat is not here for you. You are here for the cat. It’s all laid out right there in the Catstitution.

Yeah I know it’s not like I was upset with her, it’s just another thing to feel terrible about when you’re already very low.
