I had hoped they would tell a story from another world perspective, e.g. Samurai world or something. Instead we got burn everything to the ground and try to take over the world lameness. It suffered from poor writing, terrible dialog, and no sense of direction. I wanted something cerebral not action for the sake of action. That’s also my take on most new sci-fi unfortunately. They take away the sci and slam in fantasy as if it’s interchangeable.
