About 75 tons, or 150,000 pounds, of illegal fireworks were seized in Gardena, and authorities are calling it the largest single seizure of its kind in California history.
I remember at the time watching some of the videos people posted that were way closer and thinking of how bad it must have been. No one went to jail for that bit of destruction. At least I never heard of any of the law enforcement types getting punished.
