“Protecting women and holding predators accountable isn’t a slogan. It’s been one of my top priorities in Congress. For too long, survivors have faced broken systems while predators exploited loopholes and walked free,” Mace said in her statement.
And yet here she is blaming Cornell University Jane Doe for asking for it:
“IDK who needs to hear this, but a consensual gangbang is not a rape,” Mace wrote on X.
What a douche.

Yeah, that’s the real problem, IMO. I wouldn’t know anything about the gender business specifically, but we know some locals familiar with her who can tell some stories, mostly petty and unnecessary bad behavior. Like the way she acted at the airport, but wherever she goes. She’s pretty infamous down there. Between that and what is available publicly it seems pretty clear that she has always been this way.
She was the first woman to graduate from The Citadel, a historically male-only military college that had only just opened its doors to women because it had been legally forced to, in a state and specifically a social class where outward adherence to gender roles is highly prized and deviating from it punished.
I don’t know how many battles she had to fight to get past all that to come out a finisher, the first of her kind, at one of the most exclusive bastions of masculinity in the south, but they are FAR more than I can imagine. Read up on what Shannon Faulkner went through there, and know that Mace enrolled there almost immediately after she was legally able to as a woman.
But the question is: Why? Why would you set about throwing your entire life at tearing down walls built by society and other people that piss you off, walls that you could far more easily just avoid? Why would you walk into a lion’s den full of people that hate you and want you to die just for being there? To prove what?
She seems to be a woman who is constantly and entirely at war: with herself, with those around her, with non-combatants she pulls in, with a sunny day itself.
But above all she is ANGRY. That woman is deeply, deeply pissed, I mean like her existence depends on it. And until she stops and deals with it, or is stopped and has no choice but to deal with it, she will continue to move through life – and friends, and staffers, and whoever else she touches – as though they are all disposable, part of some grander conspiracy of destruction.
Where you’d fit gender into all that I don’t know, but there is something very corrosive eating away at the core of who she is as a person. Flinging it outward on the regular might be the only way she is surviving.
