i think the point is that there is some fluidity to gender and presenting as feminine doesnt necessarily mean they are trans?

Gender is a very personal thing. You don’t get to tell someone they’re trans - some nonbinary folks do not consider their identity to be a transgender identity and that’s entirely valid. You can dive as deep as you want into the technicalities of the transgender umbrella, but at the end of the day these are words we are using to describe ourselves and if “myself” does not align with “transgender” then anyone insisting that it does align is misguided at best.

Aaaaaaalllssso you can fuck around with gender within your AGAB and not consider yourself non binary. Femboys are valid and many are cis. There’s probably some transmasculine femboys out there!

It is correct that non-binary can fall under the trans umbrella. It is not correct that femboys are “in denial” about their gender. Nobody gets to decide that but them. This post is hopefully satire, but taken literally, it’s advocating for reverse conversion therapy.

It’s not satire, I and a few others have subjected ourselves to their entire comment history to be sure - they really believe they know someone’s gender identity better than the person themselves. They’re also extremely hostile and unpleasant.

Maybe they’re trying to prove that it’s possible to have the wrong ideas for the right reasons? Like at the core this is rooted in a desire for everyone to be accepted as themselves and end transphobia, they’re just taking it to unreasonable extremes.

I guess you could say the same of regular conversion therapy advocates. Many could honestly say that they only want what’s best for the other person. They just use their own definition of “best” and refuse to consider any alternatives.
