It’s like a loose loose situation, today I have been chatting with my pals from Venezuela living here and it’s kinda depressing

“Leaving people be”, in this case meaning to allow a fraudulently admitted president to continue to commit human rights violations on its citizens

Incorrect, Maduro was democratically elected and supported by the Venezuelan working classes due to continuing the legacy of Hugo Chavez.

Yes exactly that. Just stay out of it. Just like the US don’t give a fuck about other undemocratic regimes around the world.

A sovereign nation has the right to choose how it governs itself and manage their natural resources, unless they cause harm to other nations, which is not the case for the peaceful people of venezuela.

Do the people get a right to choose though?

Maduro was a brutal dictator that rigged elections, in 2024 his opposition got 67% of the vote, but Maduro remained. They chose to remove him but the Dictator decided we wanted to stay anyway.

This is bullshit, actually. Maduro got 51%, his opposition 43%. You’re falling for the same WMD story the empire used to bomb Iraq.

They only took him, because of oil. Trump is just being more honest than when the u.s. invaded the middle east. Except that was approved by congress, this wasn’t.

      Trump is a war criminal.
