      Owls, especially large ones like this one’s parents, can really take some impressive types of prey, but watching them slurp a snake like it’s no biggie is about the most apex predator thing they could do.

      Even on the opposite end of things, the Elf Owl, smallest of all, eats live scorpions as its favorite snack.
