I knew I already saw that…
I’m just annoyed at the caption “break the internet”.
Im annoyed at using a screenshot of a tiktok at all rather than just looking up a picture of her in the suit
She looks like Bride of Pinbot
How do I look?

These Disney chicks have become so NSFW nowadays. Miley Cyrus, Bella Thorne, Zendaya, Demi Lovato, etc.
How ironical!
There was a south park episode about exactly this
As I understand it, it’s to get out of Disneys iron clad contracts.
Disney values it’s family friendly image very much. And it’s the only way to get out of what is close to a slave contract.
How is this a meme? It’s a classic art piece designed by Theirry Muglier and was originally seen in George Michael’s Too Funky music video. And yes it’s inspired by robots like C3PO and Maria/Maschinenmensch from Fritz Lang’s Metropolis.
Because it look ridiculous.
I think it looks amazing. How sad for people that they decide to mock art and artistry due to a lack of imagination. She’s a principal cast member in a literal space opera where humans fight over a planet on while wearing all manner of interesting outfits. What she’s wearing is no more ridiculous than anything else in the movie is definitely the best looking outfit the cast wore on the red carpet in Mexico.
Good for you, I mean that. But as much as you admire and enjoy this outfit, I don’t.
To be fair, it could be the Metropolis gal too.
That’s exactly what the outfit was modeled on
Yes, both Zendaya’s dress and C3PO were designed to look like Maria, the robot in Metropolis.

For those too lazy to click the wiki link
Who wore it best? 🤔
I feel like everyone is missing the clear Barbarella reference with this outfit, which is fitting for a scifi premier.
I must be blind, I see no resemblance
for me to not see it
The outfit alone was enough for my wife and I to both instantly go “oh that’s some Barbarella looking shit”. The context of it being at a scifi premiere cemented in my mind that it was an aware homage but I could be wrong.
Ok wow, I had no idea zendaya’s outfit had windows. I see them now, but I totally thought it was just gold-looking armor.
I think it’s more of a metropolis vibe
It was exactly a metropolis inspired look. She got it out of a museum basically. It was on the runway in the 90s(?) as an homage to the robot woman from Metropolis.
Yeah, both Zendaya’s costume and C3PO (and many other robots in sci-fi) have the Metropolis aesthetic.
Just that Star Wars being as popular as it is means C3PO is iconic on his own, and no one thinks a lot about why the stylistic choices were made when they designed the C3PO costume in the 70s.
See-thru-po
Everyone do an image search for Hajime Sorayama (potentially NSFW).
So stupid.
Just imagine something itching and you can’t stratch it. The horror
Leave her alone. She just wanted to feel closer to her idol Swen Vincke.
As far as idols go, the head of what seems to be the only ethical developer/publisher of video games left isn’t the WORST choice 🤷
Urgh, I hate when brands use the phrase “Break the internet!” … It just sounds so braindead to me.
It’s entirely brain dead: they’re literally copying it from whoever used it years ago.
I think I first saw it with Kim Kardashian. And did it “break” anything? Maybe some coomer’s wrist, but nothing else lol
It’s not a dress.
