embracer and their ilk ruined games development for everyone who just wanted a job and not to have to put together an entire indie studio
the damage they’ve done to the industry and the middle class is incalculable in its immensity
there are fewer good games and drastically fewer good jobs because of Embracer

just look up their acquisitions and then look up what happened to those studios

As much as that blows, it does make sense. They bet everything on being bought out and when that fell through they were massively overextended.
Except for the fact that the CEO wasn’t fired even though he made a comically lazy and incompetent mistake (going on a buying spree before confirming that the investment would go through).
Wasn’t he fired? Or “stepped down” 9-10 days ago? That’s like the public company version of being fired.
I wasn’t aware. He is stepping down, but only after the company will be split into 3 parts.

Buddy, this isn’t the navy. The captain isn’t going down with the ship. As much as we would all want or hope for them to. If anything, them chopping their workforce down will be seen as them improving the value of the company. The investors are who they actually answer to. And they are going to want them to make them money before they pull out all their investments and crater all those studios.
