A major policy directive strongly suggesting use of the royalty-free architecture is apparently imminent

It will be nice to have high performance RISC-V CPUs. I don’t know if I would rather have CCP spyware in place of the usual NSA spyware though.

The USA already has all our data, so it’s only fair the CCP get the same

So looks like chip war will boost RISC-V - basically we might see all commercial cpu being risc-v.

Alibaba Cloud execs predicted RISC-V will become a mainstream cloud architecture in five to eight years.

    Also this

According to a Tuesday report from Reuters, Beijing is close to releasing a policy that that could make that prediction real.

    and the report https://www.msn.com/en-xl/money/markets/exclusive-china-to-publish-policy-to-boost-risc-v-chip-use-nationwide-sources/ar-AA1AbNVv

Those are very good news for open source.
