I been using Arch for well over 5 years now I think, around whenever the RX 580 was released. Still using it. Only had like one major breakage due to not reading the arch news, and managed to easily recover with the skills I built by following a manual install (arch-chroot into an existing install from a live-usb to fix issue).

The logo is kind of mid but it integrates with modern themes better than before (I will miss the old logo).

It’s an absolute blessing that they picked Qt instead of GTK and I want to see more of this.

If I had my way, everyone’s drives and ram and whatever would be encrypted from top to bottom with extremely strong keys that only the user had access to. Nobody needs to have access to your stuff except you, and it doesnt matter if you are the most law-abiding citizen in the world who does nothing but eat bread and read the news paper every day, your privacy is sanctamount (whether you agree with this or not). Medical records, bank statements, tax records, private journals, etc. are just a few examples of data that mundane people with “nothing to hide” deserve to have protected to the nines.

It’s literally a steam deck without the screen and a slightly higher build quality. If you’ve used a steam deck, you know what the steam controller is already.

firstly, my condolences,
secondly: it is the literal solution to PC couch gaming when paired with Steam Input.
The joysticks are very accurate and glide like butter. Their unusual position is very ergonomically friendly too.
The back buttons are extremely useful, especially when you can bind them to keyboard and mouse inputs and not just controller inputs.
The trackpads are the crown jewels and are extremely versatile.
Gyro aim is such a powerful creature comfort, along with the ability to have it toggle on and off when you stop touching the grip or top of the joystick.

I really wish Valve had the capacity to mass produce these and sell them in brick and mortar stores because they are everything ive ever wanted in a gamepad.

How do you feel about the color profiles on HDR, and the cursor/stylus sync, or any of the other changes they listed in this one as far as art goes?

Ive been riding SystemD for its faults since the beginning. The age verification was just one more on the pile.

SystemD itself was fine. Not great but better than what we had and I was happy with what it did.

But then it started to sprawl and take over things it had no business doing.

At this point I am no longer using the Linux kernel, I’m using the SystemD kernel, and as soon as Poettering feels like it he can simply sell the rights to SystemD to a big corpo like Microsoft once everything fully depends on it.
