Fuck Microsoft
Fuck Microsoft
Right, but Sony doesn’t unlock their bootloader (on US devices) anymore.
Am I missing something? In the US I can’t buy the 1V and get the bootloader unlocked by Sony. Or did that change?
The hardware of Sony phones has been so attractive over the years. I had the Z3 & XZ1 years ago and they were great.
However, the software is lacking. They don’t commit to long term OS/security updates.
The price is also far too high for just a slab.
This means that there are no ROMs that support recent flagship Sony devices.
Honestly they don’t have to lower the price. If they just opened up the software I would make the jump.
I’m holding onto the OnePlus 7 Pro for dear life because newer devices feel like such a compromise; great hardware and software is locked down to hinder ROM development or great ROM support and weak hardware.
Duh?
For at least the last 30 years, the world has been designed around Just in Time manufacturing, which keeps as little raw material in stock as possible.
From a practical sense, they don’t. The IDF has a history of protecting violent settlers who attack Palestinians and will attack those Palestinians if they try to defend themselves.
The US would absolutely not send defensive weapons to Palestinians. The US government is too close to the Israeli government.
Even at this moment the US says they don’t approve of how Israel is waging this war, while they’re using weapons the US sent them…
Onsdel is a fork of FreeCAD with UI improvements. Much better in my opinion. They actively contribute back to FreeCAD as well.
Yes! I thought it was just me. Any idea how to resolve?
I feel a law that would go a long way would be to force companies to release code, drivers, and designs of any product they no longer support. That includes Intellectual Property. If you no longer support a product, then you don’t need the IP used on it.
We either get everything we need to use EOL products however we want, or companies support products much longer to protect their IP.
I don’t know about all banking apps, but the Bank of America app works just fine.
If you’re only problem with your current phone is the battery, maybe look into replacing the battery.
Either DIY or bring it to a reputable repair shop.
I just replaced the battery of my OnePlus 7 Pro (and a backup OnePlus 7 Pro also) myself. Was a lot easier than I thought and now the battery life is great again.
The SD865 in it is more than capable to tackle anything I do (no heavy gaming or other resource heavy tasks) so instead of spending $800+ on a new phone I spent $25 on a battery.
I’m also running a custom ROM (crDroid) so I don’t have FOMO on the latest software.
The S-pen “works” with it but the button on the pen doesn’t work with the app. Hence it’s not ‘supported.’
You can’t hold the button for erase.
Saber doesn’t have S-pen support but you can save notes where you want (can even sync to Nextcloud).
I’ve been looking for this solution as well.
It came stock in crDroid 10.
For previous AOSP keyboards, someone has extracted the .apk and posts it on apkmirror
AOSP 14 works great and has swipe.
I loved the notification LED on my Xperia XZ1, Nexus 5X, and basically all older Android phones.
Ideally I’d like to see an LED along a corner so that regardless of placing the phone face up or down, you can still see the LED.
Google and Nothing phones have punch holes.
I’m not familiar with Motorola’s lineup. What phone do they have without a punch hole?
I love Sony phones but I don’t see active ROMs for the Xperia 1 or 5 series.
I’m not familiar with Xiaomi. They have a flagship without a hole punch?
What do you mean by ‘there’s no open source scene’?
I don’t understand what open source has to do with this.
