Historically sure. Now Trump is in power and deportations are the norm. The lawyer banked on precedent but should have considered president

Yes. That’s the joke. I’m unsure how the burning terminator dying with a thumbs up wasn’t clear enough that there is obviously more to this than just “security concerns”
Honestly this sounds like a veteran MS dev who wanted to ensure he had a good ISO build of windows to install without AI shit down the line after he retired. Props to whatever MS dev (or devs) made this happen
I hate this vehemently but you’re getting an upvote
Agreed, except for one point. It’s an oligarchy. Our “dictator” was just selling cars on the White House lawn. Capitalism won to get to it’s late stages, happy to let racist hatred and russian influence fester for continued capital self-interest
Not to worry, “some cited security concerns.” We’re all set
I understand how base models tokenize language. What I’m curious about you’re basing your response off a horrendously screenshotted meme image of someone interacting with deepseek. Is your concern that deepseek isn’t showing the code used to approach a hex string? Because that’s certainly a valid concern, though you can ask the model to output the code it is running. That’s definitely an ethics improvement that should be made in the UI, but it’s very clear what the model is doing under the hood
I’m confused, is the concern when the model doesn’t properly identify when it is using software to identify something like a hex pattern?
It’s bad to break copyright if you do it, but it’s fine if they do it to train their models
Maybe if we ever return back to that we can scrape off all the Verdigris for a short celebration
All minorities everyone who doesn’t want to be part of a racist fascist regime should quit their military service right now in protest. It should be obvious at this point that Comrade Krasnov doesn’t give a fuck about military service members, veterans, etc. Especially minority veterans, that just makes it worse. And that follows a long line of the republicans who have consistently voted against VA benefits and yell about supporting our troops while they are comfortable having them succumb to treatable injury or commit suicide once they leave the military. They’re only valuable when they’re making billionaires more wealthy or killing enemies of the state.
It’s probably deepseek r1, which is a “reasoning” model so basically it has sub-models doing things like running computation while the “supervisor” part of the model “talks to them” and relays back the approach. Trying to imitate the way humans think. That being said, models are getting “agentic” meaning they have the ability to run software tools against what you send them, and while it’s obviously being super hyped up by all the tech bro accellerationists, it is likely where LLMs and the like are headed, for better or for worse.
Same as Elon when he confidently told off engineers during his takeover of Twitter or gestures broadly at the Mr. Dunning Kruger himself
Wonder if it’s an SQL DB
Elon probably hired confident right wingers whose parents bought and paid their way through prestigious schools. If he hired anyone truly skilled and knowledgeable, they’d call him out on his bullshit. So the people gutting government programs and passing around private data like candy are just confidently incorrect
Initial reports and social media videos indicated use of pyrotechnic devices during the performance as cause of the fire, which engulfed the ceiling and spread to the roof.
Wonder how many people have to die before it’s finally decided that shooting off sparklers and fireworks inside nightclubs isn’t a good idea
Agreed, the ability to create a false dichotomy between “the average American” and whoever is “different” based on income, social status, race, sex, etc is what has kept the rich in power for years. Putin capitalized upon this, used social media to stir the pot, and ended our government, as was the plan since at least 1997:

It’s sad how it was predicted around the same time (1995) by Carl Sagan:
I have a foreboding of an America in my children’s or grandchildren’s time – when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what’s true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness
The dumbing down of American is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30 second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance
Part of that celebration of ignorance is what got us here. People less willing to learn about space, math, physics, biology, ethics, or philosophy; and more willing to watch steroid-pumped dudes on joe Rogan, moving their mentality from thinking wrestling is real to thinking the hosts on the latter have any credibility.
Sure, I mean that’s fascism in general that there are no true allies. Only subservient factions. But they either all die together or eat each other one by one until they die, it’s the historical route of fascists.
Yeah they finally turned a profit late last year
For now, fascists always turn on their allies eventually, they always need an enemy
Yeah because few companies actually want to buy debt so the demand isn’t super high. If debt co-ops start up and begin to buy debt, those selling it will begin to sell it for higher prices. Not saying it won’t be cheaper than the original debt, but as soon as it starts getting purchased more frequently the market will adapt
