I’m currently using thorium as an appimage and it is god enough. But to be honest if you want privacy use Firefox or a fork of it.
You should be able to use pretty much any Bluetooth controller just try to avoid the Bluetooth low Energie LE controller my stadia controller that i resenty bought doesn’t work on many distos Nobara no problem if you use arch forget it

If you use gnome with dash to bar or something like that you can desite in the extetion. And if I remember correctly muffin support it as well
Thats the reasson i use hyprland at work Gnome, cinnemon and kde are really nice but monitor independent virtuall desktops is a must for me

Most of the time it isn’t about the kernel what is causing gaming problems it is most of the time other packages. I had problems with a few games on KDE neon what uses a ubuntu lts system as its base
So I have to use a windows machine for work. I can’t tell you how awsome wsl is. You can use any Linux package on wsl. If you are crasy enough you can even run desktop environments like xfce. All this with nearly native speed.
Of cource things links a KVM aren’t possible but nothing is nicer to just type wsl into your terminal and have your Linux distro of choice ready to go
