Yeah I tend to archive hardware till I meet someone who needs a system then I try to put something together that meets their needs. Otherwise I mothball it till I have a hardware failure in one of my servers etc. Thankfully the systems I am taking are heading for a grinder somewhere and not being repurposed.

The dump I go to every week to drop off my household garbage has an e waste shed. The guys that work there told me I can pick through it. My basement is a pc graveyard now.

A buddy of mine and I have been using it for a bit, he more than I. Haven’t noticed any major issues with it. Proton works well for gaming. Overall pretty solid. I’d say spin it up and give it a test drive.
I’ve been enjoying CachyOS myself lately.
It’s hilarious watching a specific stock (in this example, Kenvue) tank when these idiots open their mouths only to recover once the foreign market opens. It’s blatant stock manipulation 100%.
…And things still weren’t as crazy as they are now. To me that’s points towards the guys theory LOL

I work alone so yes, I filed a sexual harassment charge on myself.
I have zero RL friends and nearly zero online friends. I have no time for hobbies or events and no money for them either. All my old friends grew apart or radically changed to the point of unrecognizability. Life just feels like a cycle of sleep, eat breakfast, commute, work, commute, shower, eat dinner, sleep.
My tired ass was going to ask why only women got the option to sleep topless and then I realized it wasnt ordered that way… 18 for me.
I’ve started keeping a handful of cases and I test all the hardware, catalog it and then put it in totes layered with anti static bubble wrap. Works great for jamming a large density of hardware in a small space!
