Wait, what’s this about lending??

Option c seems far and away the best. The reason I browse certain communities over others comes down to admin moderation. Certain instances have stricter admin control and seek to influence political dialogue one way or another. I just don’t want to get banned again for posting the word “tankie” when it’s entirely relevant to the discussion at hand.
Not sure if you’re aware of what happened to .world for a few months. If you decide to ascribe any political philosophy or moderation ethics to sublinks, it may be worth checking out the attack vectors used over there. Optimizing sql lookups extendedly occupied the .world admins so you’re already a bit ahead of the curve there.
You advertise to your audience. Ads targeting the perverse and the stupid seem perfectly suited to twitter.
As always, it’s hard to determine what is AI and what is a filter. The guy whose entire face was edited to be flat and tilted 10 degrees toward the camera got me. That said, 8/10. The first two clued me into what the author was going for and I got the rest right.
Could be internal damage. At least, that was the case with my old phone.
That’s funny, I’m the reverse- Searx is my final solution. I don’t like costing the lovely people hosting it any more than I have to so I start with the duck. If ddg offers nothing, searx always has it.
As an aside, are you aware that startpage was purchased some time ago? It’s owned by an ad company now.
Searx. That it doesn’t ignore operators legitimately arouses me slightly.
It is my political opinion that milk, water, tea (practically water), and vodka are the only beverages fit for human consumption. There’s an argument to be made for certain juices, but it can be safely ignored as Dole propaganda. You only get the two sets of teeth, all.
I’m curious about the resources required to federate with threads. It would utterly dwarf every other instance in every capacity, 1000fold. Wouldn’t this put a fair bit of financial pressure on every federated instance?
What exactly did unity have so many employees for? I’ve only just realized that I don’t know what their company does, besides develop a game engine.
You’re right, and I probably should have provided some context. Between breeding for sugar and longevity and soil depletion removing those fun, tasty minerals people always go on about, fruit in the future may end up being genetically engineered candy. I dread the day that heirloom fruits become the only way I can enjoy an apple.
2055: fruit is a gateway food to such vices as cookies and pie.
I’m only half serious, but fruit is trending toward being as unhealthy as other snack foods.
TONIGHT… WE DINE IN HELL! TOMORROW, THE UNDERDARK. THAT CONCLUDES OUR ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE DAY.
If one were to base their diet around moral responsibility, would eating only what the blade can cut be reasonable? Can it cut vegetables? Can animals be evil? Would training a cow to be evil in order to avoid starvation be morally justifiable?
This reminds me of a dnd game I stumbled upon a few weeks ago where it was a sort of AI roulette. The DM described the monster(s) and a designated player would input their description into their choice of art AI. They fight whatever it spits out, with the DM’s stat block adjusted to match. That burning gaze you described? Surprise, it came from a fire elemental!
It’s more the requesting bit. I’d be happy to buy what would probably be a $150 shirt or sweatshirt but the act of requesting it feels odd. If I were already in contact with a few seniors with a knitting/sewing hobby then it would be perfectly kosher, but soliciting clothing feels exploitative, unless it’s handled carefully.
I honestly can’t figure out how I feel about the idea of requesting sewing/knitting from retired people. That said, I’d love anything I’d get from them. Handmade clothes are worth cherishing.
Aside from purchasing secondhand, I haven’t found a way to get away from “New Coke clothing” and I was wondering whether anyone had any recommendations on that front.
If they exclusively targeted larger companies, they’d be fine with me. Generally, the way they operate is to first strike smaller, more vulnerable companies to build their case before suing a larger one. Patent reform can’t come soon enough.
