I still subscribe to the theory that these people are hired actors from Big Oil. They are experts at being unlikable and naturally pushes me towards the opposing side. It sucks.

But the post says “horse” not “house”. You know, like the neigh-type of thing.
Also, I believe that the final verse is a very different translation than what the word-by-word translation would be. My german is rusty af but I believe it would translate to “will you be together until the pussy is dead, and love her also in the worse days”. And the fun part is that the lines are only a slight deviation from the typical wedding vows. “Tod euch scheidet” would be “Death does you apart” and “Tod der Scheide” is “Death of the split (or slang for pussy)”
This old picture has the writing “Easter eggs for Hitler” on the bombs. I think the use case makes the biggest difference for whether writing a message is perceived as sinister. A bomb which is being sent to someone who has been confirmed to regularily attack civilian targets is not great.
The real answer would be “don’t”. Have a decent whitelist dor training data with reliable data. Don’t just add every orifice of the internet (like reddit) to the training data. Limitations would be good in this case.
“Have you invested in crypto?”
Do you think anyone anywhere will misunderstand this as investing in cryptographic research/development?
The mainstream usage of the word isn’t always aligned with what is good for society or even the original usage of the word.
The perception of delay is a lot larger for a single initial delay than a lot of smaller delays within the game. It’s very noticable if a game takes 20 seconds to get past the intro screens, while it is barely noticeable if a quarter of a second of delay is added to the loading between each level, even if it adds up to a lot more than the initial loading screen.
Considering that the use of 5.1 surround would be a very rare case for the target aidience, I find the choice of dropping it to be excellent to enhance the experience.
Mississippi and Bagdad
I feel like recently developed games and apps expect the user to have a “moden” sized RAM, meaning that the decs don’t give a crap about optimizing RAM-usage.
I think you’re fine in just 3 dimensions. If the person to the upper left and lower right have a separate elevation from the other two, this is basically just the shape of a 4 sided die.
It’s 100% nostalgia, and I hard refuse to ever touch that game again. I’m sure it’s terrible compared to my standards for games now. But the memories remain, and that’s fine.
I used to love Lego Racers. I knew all the tracks and shortcuts, and I knew exactly how to make my favorite racing car. I remember playing the game at home as well as at my friends’ houses, and I always made the same car design, as I was convinced it was the fastest. What a great game!
I might be the dumb one in this one, but HR asked me if I know “design patterns”.
“I mean, yes, I know some design patterns. Any specific?”
“No, just if you are familiar with design patterns.”
“I mean, there are builder, strategy, sigleton, factory etc. Is the question really not more specific?”
“My paper just asks if the dev is familiar with design patterns.”
“Ok. Yes.”
This is actually a case of the Cauchy-Scwartz inequality: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cauchy–Schwarz_inequality
Not that this covers many cases, but a lot of appliances are running touch screens and a lack of non-visual indicators. Blind people could benefit from having an app with a screen reader to run the machine. Of course, this is just a patch for a problem which shouldn’t have existed in the first place.
You know how the sun radiates an incredible amount of power through millions and millions of tonnes of material undergoing nuclear fusion every minute, and the sun is expected to last for millions of years?
Well, not that much. But it’s still a lot!
A comment the devs made on the steam announcement (under slay the spire) regarding someone being angry that this was prioritized over slay the spire 2:
Hi there, this is just a small, free game we made in a few weeks for a game jam in order to get acquainted with the engine that our next big game is currently being ported to. We figured our fans would be interested in knowing what we’re up to as we work on our upcoming title since switching from Unity has extended its development time.
We’re currently back to work on our next big game, this time refreshed and with lots of new tools under our belt! Hope people have a fun time trying this out if they’d like to!
So it’s not like this is a big new genre for them, but it’s also not meant to be a commercial for Godot.
That’s impressive. I didn’t start using linux until my late 20’s
Mono.just(“Penetrating system”) .doOnNext(System.out::println) .delayElement(Duration.ofSeconds(1)) .flatMapMany(() -> Flux.just(“20%”, “40%”, “60%”, “80%”, “100%”)) .map(“Hacking NASA %s”::format) .doOnNext(System.out::println) .delayElement(Duration.ofSeconds(1)) .subscribe();
Better?
Don’t worry, it’s not like I’m yielding. The point is that I find them to be detractors rather than attractors to join our common goal of not eliminating ourselves.
