Technology@lemmy.world•Telegram is lying to you about privacyEnglish
1·13 days agoEver since the CEO of Telegram was basically lured to Paris, arrested, then read the riot act for Telegram’s non-cooperation with French authorities, the company has been responding to warrants and downplaying its “E2EE” features. Expect them to have a fully accessible backdoor for LE.
What does LE stands for?
Also, do you have any sources to your claims?
Just the other day, I wondered myself: what happened after that detention in Paris? I haven’t read anything else. Is he in prison or free?? No idea! Is there an ongoing trial? What were the accusations?

Technology@lemmy.world•Pope urges 'disarming' of AI in major manifestoEnglish
61·15 days agoI am sorry you had gone through that experience. The only church that illuminates at all is the one we can set on fire :')
PS. This thread can easily spin on another reiteration of the arguments around “separating the art from the artist”. That text on AI may have a certain sympathy to some… I haven’t read it. After this post, I thought “maybe I should?”. Thanks to your comment I got centered back in my perspective: “nah. the pope can say whatever he wants to. I won’t be his supporter nor audience.”
idk about Italians idiosyncracy but in my country we would use the N word for both racial slurs and shows of affection. It would depend on context mainly.

Technology@lemmy.world•Facebook and Instagram Tighten Censorship Rules for Saying “Antifa”English
71·2 months agoYou need to read Antifa, a manual written by Mark Bray. You will be surprised with history. The real propaganda was the billionaire media that biased your opinion. No offense (unless you really skip skimming through the easily found online epub, in which case you’d be denying yourself the chance to grow and hence lose any respect I had for the human being you are ;)
You are one already. Fedi diva ftw.

World News@lemmy.world•Iran claims victory, says it forced US to accept 10-point planEnglish
2·2 months agoAlso, there was revolt or even an uprising at Tehran before the attack. This maimed any chances of getting a better popular organization. This attack on Iran saved the dictatorial regime.

3·2 months agoAnd there’s no goals (i.e. sex) or speed (kiss “now”). Just enjoy the company, talk through, see what are your feelings, don’t pressure yourself into anything (neither pressure the other.)… Love can be like the blossom, it takes its own pace and is all admirable.
PS. Hope it helps. At least, this is what I tell myself, as I started dating someone recently after some months alone and a very lengthy relationship previously. So, I am kinda “fresh” and not knowing what to do. But this strategy has been paying off, and seems the most natural and healthy…

Linux@programming.dev•Rep. Finke Was Right: Age-Gating Isn’t About Kids, It’s About Control
62·3 months agoIndeed, I am locking the thread for it’s offtopic. We had already a lot of discussion with systemd accomodating to this law. To OP: feel free to crosspost.
I believe we can all find our identity almost anywhere because of the projected desires.

Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•CachyOS Is Now the Most Popular Desktop Distro on ProtonDBEnglish
2·3 months agoiirc it started as a spinoff since vanilla arch preferred to stay conservative in regards to compiling packages with “the new” cpu optimizations. They are not so new at all, but since it meant breaking support with old hardware… Hence, the dillema that called ina fork and here we are.

I am regretting having done so much crossposts. It was an impulse, not being sure where to post… I was also interested on seeing what was the take from fellow lemmings. And it’s been enriching to me in that regard. I wonder how much were people really self hosting LLMs… Apparently not that much.
