Marriages are partnerships. No masters, no slaves.
Isn’t trad marriage just toned down master-slave relationships?

The US government provides weapons for the genocide.
One of the main campuses in the protests is opening a campus in Israel, which students are opposing until Israel ends genocide and apartheid.
Many of the campuses donate money to or have partnerships with candidates and organizations that are also complicit in the genocide.
Of course Israel isn’t going to stop genocide because a bunch of college students in the US don’t like it. But that doesn’t mean students have to sit idly as their tuition dollars go to fund genocide.
When you’re clients are a handful of companies who will more aggressively change insurers than consumers to save a penny and have their own legal teams, it becomes harder to price gouge or illegally deny claims.
Only thing I could find were laws that were introduced, but none that passed, listed on anti-trans legislation trackers. But that doesn’t seem like enough reason given how easily outliers can introduce bills that have no chance of actually passing. Here’s some recent news related to anti-trans legislation in NH: https://www.glad.org/nh-senate-tables-bill-that-would-have-rolled-back-some-transgender-nondiscrimination-protections/
am I safe if I get pulled over?
Honestly, that seems a big concern for my mom about me and I’m not sure if she even thinks I’m trans. Its just things like me growing my hair out that make her worried about more less favorable treatment if I were to get pulled over. My mom is an extremely butch lesbian, so I’m sure she’s had her own experiences but she hasn’t said much along those lines.
The character in this meme is a white male, so it’s not political. /j
Changing icons to color helps me find which ones I’m looking for. Seems weird it defaults to it looking like they’re greyed out because they won’t work on the current selection.
Picked my area and 29K puts you in the middle class, which is like $13/hr, and its pretty close to the national average for COL.
Based on which definition?
I feel like by most commonly used definitions I would be. About half my income (before taxes) goes into savings, my position is considered management, I make between 75%-200% of median national income, I have a graduate degree.
I don’t make half that rate though.
Not sure I think middle class is a useful method of classification though, but still curious why that specific number.
Last time I used an SD card in a phone (actually used it: not just having one in there) was with a phone that have like 16-32GBs. Given you couldn’t install apps on it, that mean doing annoying file management to just try to get enough space to install something. Granted, if your use case is just bulk storage and the base phone has plenty of space for apps, I imagine its perfectly fine.
But why would you want to watch videos on your phone?
Music is small. 256GB is plenty to store well over 1000 hours of music. No need for dealing with annoying SD card setups.
Motorola generally supports unlocking bootloaders, unless you buy a specifically locked one from vendors (like AT&T, Verizon, Amazon Prime + Ads versions). Given it hasn’t even launched yet, its probably not support yet though?
Why would you put that on your phone?
DST means you also have things like CST vs CET and given some places start DST earlier or later than others and some ignore it all together, we probably have at least 50 time zones.
Always fun trying to schedule international regular meetings when suddenly there’s a week when half the people’s times changed and the other half’s times haven’t yet, so you try to figure out which time would exclude the fewest essential people.
I only program non-seriously for work on occasions and I’ve rarely used copy/pasted code. Except maybe some of my own code because of using lazy logic trees to deal with variation in the data being processed. Doesn’t need to be pretty or efficient. Just needs to work well enough so I do a less manual work.
Kilo comes from greek and has meant 1000 for 1000’s of years. If you want 2^10 to be represented using greek prefixes, it better involve “deca” and “di”. Kilo (and di) would be usable for roughly 1.071508607186267 x 10^301 byte. KB was wrong when it was invented, but they were only wrong for decades at least.
I used rufus to install W11 (running i7-4790k) and haven’t had any issues with it. The only reason an update would cause issues is if they started requiring specific CPU instructions your CPU doesn’t support (like when W11 started requiring POPCNT, which is only in gen 1 CPUs and newer). I don’t think its likely they’d make such a upgrade in W11 again. Any new CPU instruction limitations would probably be a W12 thing at this point.
At least online, it seems like the only Americans who call themselves far left agree those are all centrist positions. It’s only “centrists/progressives*” (moderately far right Americans) and other flavors of far right who still often dont generally call themselves far right (trump enthusiasts, alex jones types, proud boy types) who label basic things like universal health care a far left idea or just call it impractical atm.
*I feel like 10 years ago, people who were at least moderately left were the main people using this term, but in the last few years, people right of center have been using the label to try limit progress by pretending they’re just trying to be practical/realists about what can actually be done.
Just checking an art degree guide: https://catalog.mit.edu/degree-charts/architecture-course-4-b/
One of the classes that can be chosen is: 6.4400 Computer Graphics, which has a programming 101a/b class as a prereq (granted, it uses python instead of C++, but pretty sure they used C++ as their language-of-choice for the programming 101 language until recently).
Given the variety of digital art (video games, VTube avatars/VR avatars, more traditional-style digital art, etc), having the tools to make those kinds of things can be useful for making responsive/interactive digital art.
Too bright too. Needs a nerf.
