…because the media and DNC conspired to make Bernie look like he was a crazy person who had no chance (basically the opposite of what they do for Trump). They used classic “tail wagging the dog” tactics to gaslight the left, downplay Bernie’s support, and coronate Hillary.
If they hadn’t been actively sabatoging him the entire fucking time he had an excellent chance.
If we only taught things that were “useful” then we’d be discarding half the curriculum. Stuff like history, art, and how a fucking analog clock works, is worth teaching, even if it’s not something everyone uses every day.
I keep squeezing my eyes shut and trying to will myself into the timeline where Bernie won.

The day I hear complaints about the lack of men in primary education and the lack of women I coal mining, then I’ll give a shit about the lack of women in tech. I don’t understand why society is deciding tech is sexist but the others are just natural preference.
Setting up a matrix server was a god damn nightmare for me. I eventually got it working but I hit pretty much every conceivable obstacle along the way. Getting the config file just right, the networking, the federation, the coturn server, getting end users to understand they need to backup their keys…
I’m sure it’d be easier for a Linux pro but I was in way over my head. Only got it working through stubbornness and help from the community.
