I have too before the screen. Australia and Canada the police will go as far as grab your bag and dig out your phone and call you distracted. I’ve had one spot my phone over in my passengers seat (unused) and attempt to accuse me of being distracted by it.

Nothing to do with touching it. If it’s presently in use in any way they will ticket for distracted driving. Some people are even pstd if someone beside the driver is using their phone. The screen provided way to circumvent this issue.

Somethings today advanced for safety reasons for very good reason. If it comes negotiating conspiracy over safety I think it’s at that moment that it’s fair to say it is unreasonable.

It’s just hard to drop the maps especially when car software will only pair with google maps. That’s about the only thing that does not have an easy alternative.

But the exfat drive that only works on plex (can’t upload from ext4) is the weird bit I don’t get. Are you storing everything on ext4 for plex? If so how did you trick plex library into seeing it?

Is there a way around the problem that plex only feeds from ex fat/nt drives but Linux has permission issues networking such a drive? I wanted to have one computer where I’m doing all the formatting and the other being the standalone plex server with them both connected. Samba is being a pain.
