Companies always have a name and money to lose and are a hurdle for overreaching hands. The government has no reputation nor money to lose and a simple agreement opens all doors if it’s already government owned. A big difference to me personally.

So, like all the others, while China will produce cheap eCars. Look, I don’t want to predict the future, but if I only have 20-30k for a new car, I simply physically can’t buy a 60k SUV. You can’t jump into a saturated market of other car companies, who almost all seam to want only expensive eCars and expect a good outcome. There’s only so much money in the pockets of people and only so much people are willing to pay for a used eCar, if it needs expensive battery replacement soon. Not going to happen. Build cheaper cars or fail.

Yup and it’s going to happen for music, illustrations, photography, 3D models, scripts, lyrics, books and probably patents and full digital personalities. Some things will be harder to fully replace but big components will get replaced.

Some things will mostly just move on the spot for a while, like coding, as it won’t get much easier for the professional level, but basic elements will be possible to get fully replaced.

Hopefully wars in future can be decided by an AI battle instead of human life, like in episode 23 of Star Trek. Without the real deaths though. Well of course that part is fiction, but I wanted to add that little trivia.

Edit: I want to point out that most people have yet to understand how general AI works and I understand the downvotes. It’s scary and new, but you can prepare properly and get through this with very little friction if you act now. Cheers!

I’ve finished the game and yes, it’s price is too steep. I’d buy it half off. There’s some sort of replayability but it’s small and most might not do it. It’s still a fun game and highly recommend, but not for the full price.

Sadly this once again shows that Lemmy is too fragile. The content is now gone, forever. This is not good and I want to see a feature that we can preserve content. What if a big instance disappears for some unfortunate circumstance? Like the whole instance owner team died in a plane accident and suddenly you have thousands of posts and content disappear. Lemmy isn’t build by a huge company that will have decentralized solutions, backups and emergency access.

Yes, nationalizing YouTube would work, or more so an Internal team, founded by all nations. Btw Germany has some sort of “Youtube”, paid by people and not government founded. It’s very limited as you can’t upload and only watch. The content is also only what is decided by the owners. Theoretically we’d just need to expand that, to allow uploads and get money by more than just the German citizens. I always had that dream, as it would provide a fully ads free platform. Not sure why that isn’t already a thing, as video platforms are an integral part of our society by now.
