I have varied taste. I like to follow news reporters for one.i simply find one I like and see who he or she follows and start from there. Bluesky, though doesn’t have my needed blues music and geology feeds that Twitter has.
I find Bluesky to be a nice clean interface but without the variety of users that xTwitter has or had.
I’ve been following KOSA. Bad bill.
That’s hilarious. The thrust you say? Not my problem if you misinterpreted simple english.
US law does not apply at Gitmo. I’ve said that many times.
US law aligns with International law.
Two different concepts.
I didn’t say it was okay. But I do understand it. We call them unlawful combatants. That is a specific term akin to pirate. You can, by law, do anything you want to a pirate on the high seas. They have no rights. That’s old British law and international law. So, by calling them that we imprisoned them in a place not in this country so they would have no rights. US laws do not apply. Screwed up? SURE.
That’s why it’s gitmo. It’s not under US law. If it was those prisoners would have other kinds of rights that we don’t want them to have.
Last US War crime I can remember was Clint Lorance who k I liked some Afgan villagers. He was serving a 19 year sentance, and was pardoned by Trump.
Our laws align with international law.
The US has their own justice system. War crimes are taken to US courts, offenders prosecuted and jailed. What the US doesn’t do is wait for international courts to act.
This is what happens when you’re wanted for war crimes. The reason the US, Russia, India and China are not members is the the possibility of needing to hand over citizens to the Hague.
The IDF denies it demanded that Gaza City’s Shifa Hospital evacuate within an hour, saying it was responding to requests by the medical center’s director who asked for a safe route out for those who wish to leave.
“This morning, the IDF acceded to the request of the director of the Shifa Hospital to enable additional Gazans who were in the hospital, and would like to evacuate, to do so via the secure route,” the IDF says in a statement.
“At no point, did the IDF order the evacuation of patients or medical teams and in fact proposed that any request for medical evacuation will be facilitated by the IDF,” it says.
“Medical personnel will remain in the hospital to support patients who are unable to evacuate,” the IDF adds.
The IDF also says that it provided additional food, water, and humanitarian aid to Shifa overnight.
