Akshually it’s called a frunk like anybody gives a shit.
M-m-muh both sides!
That’s our money, every penny.
Yep, seems the safer gamble to me. At least I’ll be happier than renting.
And why should I be confident that any of that is going to survive the next 4 years?
I’m not afraid of risk. I just spent the last month watching a couple of the world’s worst narcissists disassemble my government with ease so that they could loot us for every penny they can steal. They’re trying to kill every agency that benefits the public, including the one where I get my healthcare. These men are unfit to manage a fast food joint, but now they’ve got the planet’s #1 nuclear power by the throat. I weighed the probabilities and the penalties, then made my decision. I’d rather have the money now. I no longer expect to grow old.
Why should I be confident that our recent economy will survive? I pulled my money out before they could collapse the entire house of cards. I’m now in the process of buying remote land with a house on it. I plan to put up a few greenhouses and raise chickens and goats. I’ll provide shelter to persecuted people in need. Try to live solarpunk while we can.
It was. Is there a good reason why I should be confident that the money will still be there IF I get to retire? Should I expect even to live that long? I feel it’s better invested in a house and land out near the middle of nowhere.
I already pulled my retirement.
Out of chicks at the local farm stores too.
And sinking any remaining yachts.
Russia can’t win a war against one smaller neighbour with everything it has. Putin cannot handle a dogpile. He also has to concern himself with nukes.
Spin up your production. Buy a bunch of our ammo. It’ll be in better hands.
Europe isn’t alone. Ukraine has your back.
No, that’s how it’s prevented. Putin cannot endure a united Europe entering the fray.
Well, that’s certainly one way to reduce our screen time. I’ve got shelves of neglected books that need attention.
Yet comparing all socialism to the Soviet Union is exactly what you did. The fact that Russian revolutionaries failed to eliminate dictatorship does not invalidate the philosophy of communism, it just demonstrated that Russia was unable to overcome their own social inertia.
Russia was always brutal to their people and to their neighbors, for centuries. They stayed that way as Soviets, and they haven’t changed from it as capitalists. Abusing the working class is a violation of communist principles, not an inherent feature.
Let me guess. Post-Russian? Don’t blame communism for Russia’s glaring flaws.
You too can email Elon’s HR team.
Oh, I don’t think we’re doomed at all. They are. Just look at the damned fools overplaying their hand. I was merely pointing out the stakes. They are existential. It’s us or them, by their own account. Maybe you and I disagree about that.
Of course the Constitution doesn’t matter. It’s a piece of paper with words on it – better ideas by better people have been uttered for centuries. We can, indeed we must, do better. Furthermore, it is currently sitting defenseless against a proverbial serial arsonist. But it’s past its prime regardless how they wipe their collective ass with it.
I was there dude. I was a devout member of the Evangelical movement before gay marriage bans were overturned. Their reaction is one of the reasons I left. They hate the gays. You think it’s just a light smattering of bigotry? It’s way beyond that. Those people are in charge now. They’re all cozy with the billionaires, or so they think. They want to nuke the Middle East to make Jesus come back, and they’ve got the red button now. They’re hateful, evil, arrogant, delusional, and insane. They’ve been waiting for decades for the chance to get rid of the gays, and they miss the times back when they could. This is the best chance they’ll ever get. Yes, they’re gonna go for it. The billionaires do not give a fuck about anybody, but are happy to throw them a bone, as the powerful always do with the gullible.
But sure, theConstitution will stop them. Any day now.
I’m glad we agree on something. You might say you care about these issues the same or even more than your downvoters, but you’re in denial that it can’t get worse, that our enemies are “too smart” not to capitalize on keeping us alive and happy. I doubt that. We care about these things just like you, but you might take it more seriously in light of history.
That’s not how it works.
Nah, everything you said was all just staggeringly naive and amounts to nothing more than “they can’t do that, it’s unconstitutional!”
The ultrawealthy want us all dead or enslaved, and nothing else will do.
It was a stupid mistake, wasn’t it?
