Yes it does/yes it is.
Yes it does/yes it is.
We’re going to see more of this. I’d love to say the assassination attempt will cause people to think twice, but I think it’s going to inspire others to try and take out supporters and trump himself again
I didn’t say anything about a payment either.
Do you have a source for Trump paying off the j6 protesters?
The issue over his crimes are whether they’re actually federal crimes or not.
Nope, see others commenting below.
And my point was, you can’t be surprised that conservatives turn around and do what the left does to them when they have the chance to. That’s why I was so against Dems ousting Trump supporters from their jobs, because I knew they would turn around and do the same if/when they had the chance.
It’s why we have to be very careful about any laws we pass when Dems are in power. Power will always swing back to Republicans at some point, and you’re fucking crazy if you think they’re not going to use those same laws to repress their political opponents
Picking good arguments from both candidates isn’t allowing one to walk all over you,.
I mean, he attempted a coup in the same way Biden sent that kid to shoot Trump a few days ago.
You know what’s more of a threat to democracy? Trying to imprison a political opponent.
I wasn’t. The economy was far better and we didn’t start any new wars.
I did read project 2025, but Trump has already said that’s not his aim or connect to him. He does have an agenda, but it’s not that one
Yeah, as a joke. Context matters. Like how I don’t think Biden meant he wanted some to shoot trump when he said “put a bullseye on him”.
I thought that trump supporters were Nazis and liked that trump was like Hitler, so what do you mean?
Free speech isn’t a constitutional right in Australia, or in most places. Conservative voices have been blocked from Australia before. In 2019 it was that Milo guy, and I think Lauren Southern was banned from the UK?
None of his supporters, unless you’re talking about a very extreme fringe, look at him as Hitler.
Not only is it terrible, it’s an actual threat to democracy.
I don’t know how anyone is surprised though. When you use words like “Nazi” and “existential threat” and “threat to our democracy” it can’t be a shock when someone tries to become a historic hero for taking out the supposed next Hitler, and people who buy into that propaganda language are going to cheer them on and want more of it. They’re frothing at the mouth, imagining they’re on the right side of history.
I get what the Dems are trying to do with pushing that language, but it really is playing with fire. It was a 50/50 chance that they could get him ineligible to run, alive or dead, and they’ve lost each bet.
The religious zealots do, for sure
What’s a Smurf? And what’s bad faith about what I say?
That’s just not true. Lots of people on the fence will vote for him now.
Tulsi, Vivek, RFK, NIki… There are a lot of choices out there and I think the Republicans would most likely do a quick round of debates/votes to get someone in.
…at least they listen to their party base. The DNC fucked over every candidate who wouldn’t fall in line and bow. The base wanted Bernie, and look how that turned out. They don’t gaf what their base wants, they’ll prop up whoever they think they can control.
Trump is definitely liked, there are tons of people who like him. Half the country likes him.
Yeah, this isn’t going to happen. He’ll finish his four years and hopefully who the DNC props up next is younger and more genuine.
There’s a big difference between dropping bombs and small pagers exploding. I watched a lot of those videos, and almost no one except the targets were injured.
It’s really sad that anyone else got injured at all, but damn, I’m glad they were able to be so destructive without injuring the thousands upon thousands that have been dying up until now. Or are you just upset that you can’t claim genocide for this attack?
