Adam Something just released a C:S2 video where he removed roads and messed with traffic logic.

I too am an Adam Something fan. 😂

Also wait for sales.
$404 divided over 10 years is different than as a lump. But getting the whole bundle for 80% off because it’s been successfully developed for 10 years is value.
I wonder if advertisers will wake up and realize it too.
I would love this
You literally just proved my point.
It wasn’t profitable. And it was free. It killed competition by losing money.
And now, by your concession, they are turning it into a business.
That’s a fundamental change in the service. Fuck that. Either it was always their intent, in which case they were lying scum the whole time. Or it wasn’t their intent and they’ve just decided spontaneously to prioritize profit, in which case it’s greed and betrayal.
Either way, fuck 'em.
Me considers moving to EU after Twitter withdrawl.
YouTube defended their monopoly by running for free. They murdered the growth of legitimate competitions like Vimeo that had healthier business models… Because they didn’t try to run for free.
And now that they’ve saturated the market and killed off all of the serious competition it’s time to profit
Well, frankly, go fuck yourself.
So long YouTube, and thanks for all the fish. 🐬
Your search data and history.
Listening profiles: what tastes do you have, and what other things do you like? If you like Ray Lamontagne and Taylor Swift what else might keep you on the platform?
What % of people like X? What sorts of trends are happening in music? Chord preferences, rhythms, bpm, etc
All of this aggregate data can be sold to different companies, record labels, etc.
… Except they gather your data and use it to try and make profit.
Say least radio required them to give genuine value to you. Radio had to give away shit and run contests to get caller info to figure out how many listeners they had, to get advertisers etc. It was a real business.
Spotify just buys the music catalogue and then forces you into their ecosystem.
It’s funny, Rogan lost me as a listener right around the time he made the Spotify deal.
At the time I actually had Spotify premium too, I just wasn’t interested in the conspiracy right wing shit.
Then I pretty quickly got fed up with Spotify and dropped my sub altogether.
YARRRRR.
More importantly people don’t want to buy into closed game environments. They promise of ongoing development attracts players that want that type of scale, and also allows devs to continue to eat. It’s a win/win.
This is the right choice by devs. I haven’t played it and honestly I probably never will, but I respect the decision.
Companies only want to shift to self checkout because they think they’ll make more money.
It’s all about profit.
I was fooled, I thought it was going to be better for me. And it was for awhile, because I can check myself out faster than the average employee.
However, the average customer sucks at checking themselves out. So the line for self checkout sucks. Stores use scales to make sure you’re scanning the right number of things, but that means that I have to put everything down on a tray, and then put it back in my cart after.
Worst of all, I check out so fast that I regularly get stopped because I guess I look like a thief. No, I didn’t steal anything, I just don’t want to waste any more of my precious time in this depressing fluorescent establishment.
Hmmm, someone could write a book about this!
I FUCKING HATE THIS
They can’t charge their REAL customers, the ad purchasers, as much without the ads being “targeted”.
$14 is unrealistic and will never be paid, but it means that it’s an option… So I’m guessing that people will be able to “opt in” to a free version with targeted ads… This whole thing is probably just a workaround.
I too want to see the completion of George’s masterpiece,
Elden Ring.
If people have more energy and want to do more work for more money, offer them more money for more work or let them do other work. It’s simple.
Another great way of not getting your civilians targeted is to wear identifying uniforms.
It’s almost like Hamas doesn’t want to prevent civilian casualties.
