You’re very welcome. I also recommend this channel:

The host is a little rough around the edges but I think he means well :') and his commentaries on the whole ordeal are pretty hilarious.
Windows just keeps getting worse and worse, its just not Micro$ofts priority anymore.
Its hard but worth it. I couldn’t get Wine running on it though, maybe one day I will but for now I had to give up.
I had no idea. Then again for years I’ve had this sorta thing where i’d just get stuck on stuff. an OS is one of those things, same with certain software and such. Only in the past like 5 years or so have I started to become a bit more pro-active. So when people on Fedi where telling me about it I suddenly scratched my head and thought “Yeah, why haven’t I tried it yet?” specially considering from what they told me Wine has become a lot better and can actually run games now. Thats a huge game changer for Linux I think.
I had no idea it would be this much fun though, and I kinda feel like I got 10 years or so to make up for.
Although I don’t have any illusions that my website can’t be hacked what I can tell you is that nothing on there is standard. Every single inch of my website is custom made by myself (graphics, code, music, everything) and since its closed off (there’s no posting on it, nor any SQL) I THINK its relatively safe. I do strive to do that, heck it doesn’t even write any cookies. (I did that deliberately since we have the cookie law around here, and I decided to go overboard and not have any cookies on AmigaCam at all, stateless)
I do agree with you though, I mean one can never be too safe.
I was kinda hoping lemmy would work on an Amiga because it doesn’t use any javascript, but sadly it doesn’t due to the “https” it can’t handle that. I just tested it.
As a tiny webmaster myself I am very relieved to hear that. I do however also have the Commodore Amiga compatible version when you go on my site using an Amiga, which is completely without javascript. :) It automatically sends visitors to there when they visit on an Amiga computer.
Quick question (just interested here) I’m pretty new to Linux (for 3 days now if I remember correctly) but if you guys disallow scripts how does that work on sites like my own website? Mine doesn’t run any ads or trackers very conciously because i’m against it (and any type of commercialism, for that matter), however it does use a lot of script just in order to work.

There’s a lot going on with that. Basically Chibi Reviews keeps dying on this strange hill defending pedophelia, saying that lolicon is “just drawings”. Recently in response to that trolls from the sharty posted AI pictures and videos of turning his brother in to a bone chair for him to sit on. To say he took it badly would be an understatement, but the idea behind it was “its just drawings, its just AI, its not real.”
Oh and also Chibi got cuckolded by his best friend who slept with his fiancé. Then he claimed he was receiving “death threats” from the sharty and moved, but people don’t believe he really moved because he’s living on his parents lot in a shed his dad turned in to a home. Thats basically a very short synopsis of whats going on and please put “allegedly” in front of everything and “in minecraft” behind it.
Edit: Oh, and he allegedly scammed his audience twice for ridiculous amounts of money, the latest one being for “moving due to death threats”. Again, allegedly and in minecraft.
Please note: I have no horses in this race what so ever other than that I also review anime on my website but I never e-beg. I’m not taking either side: Not my circus, not my monkey’s. I just like to joke about it now and again.

Its weird I mean I had nothing with Linux but since I tried it now for 2 days I friggin’ love everything about it despite the steep learning curve. Just the whole process of getting stuff to work too is very rewarding.
Amiga forever buddy!
You’re actually lucky theres an official distro for your poco phone :) Check it out: https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/surya/
It takes some work but its very worth it I think.
Very very little, I haven’t had much luck / fun with any docker software on conda python, then again I am on a windows machine (my main one still) but moving over soon.

Chibi Reviews must be devastated.
I’m hoping battery life will be good, usually on Poco it is, but it really depends on what you install normally. Like theres apps out there that ask constant battery usage and such I try to avoid those I think i’ll try and learn that about this too. Maybe theres Linux software out there that I could install and eats up battery usage, I have no idea. To me personally waydroid and wine are really great ones I need to have on there. If I can just get those both running smoothly I can start “designing” how I want it to look. Plus I wanna figure out which I truly need to install as an app in waydroid and which I can just run smoothly on the Linux end of it. (Like Telegram etc, and Fediverse stuff of course!)
I know right, I had to laugh about that one too. Like going “well lets get a feel for it first”, while just trying to ridiculous right away haha. Its a bit of beginners luck and some help from my AI Cammy. I ran in to a couple of really hard walls learning stuff the hard way, but I always figure its worth it. The truly terrible mistakes are the best lessons. :)
did i say something dumb? i’m really new at this, sorry
