It really is something you have to see to understand. The amount of muscle, the bite force, and instinctual behavior of not letting go and shaking is absolutely terrifying. Luckily my experience was a brutal dog on dog attack and not a human on dog attack.
I know several people with facial disfigurations from pitbulls. I have never seen another breed leave scars like pitbulls do on so many people. I liken it to having a panther instead of a house cat. It is truly remarkable.
You definitely miss a lot when you can’t hear tone. It is hard to detect emotions when texting and this can definitely cause misunderstandings.
I am old school so to speak because I was around during the time of pagers before cell phones. Texting through pagers was the old technology and making a voice call through a cell was the new technology.
Obviously texting has it uses, but it will always feel a step backwards from voice calls for me.

Pretty wild that they don’t even talk about pollution in their cancer prevention and control strategies. Pollution is the cause for almost half of the approx 2 million lung cancer deaths every year.
I believe lead in the atmosphere contributes to a million deaths every year (I have seen as high as 5 million) from cardio vascular disease.
I remember a study about immigrants that followed families when they immigrated to a country and then moved back to their birth country decades later. What they found is their cancer rates changed based on where they lived.
I suspect that we are only touching the tip of the iceberg of understanding just how many deaths environmental degredation through pollution causes. I am thinking it is in the in the tens of millions every year. This number may mean we have lost a billion people in the last fifty years.
Perhaps this is the true cost of ignoring our pollution problems. We haven’t even talked about global warming either which seems to overshadow the staggering loss of life we already experience.
