A version of this magic garment was owned by one of my first D&D characters, who made good use of it. Unlike similar magic armours, its transformation is not an illusion - it could actually change material as well as appearance. So I could walk around in plate armour for combat, turn it into a beekeeper’s outfit to deal with an insect plague, or change instantly into something classy for a royal ball. It should be particularly handy for someone like Tamilda.

What’s going on here?

• Tamilda tends to wear the same thing every day… Now she has a chance to fix that.

Ha! No, this is what he wears for training and what he wore adventuring. Those flip-flops he often wears are also magical equipment.

A standard adventurer’s pack includes one set of travelling clothes. How many adventurers ever change their outfits, or even wash them, throughout the course of a campaign? I think my current character, a human warlock, changed his jacket once, to swap for studded leather. They’ve been travelling for months now.

At least Singing Cricket keeps his robes clean. (He’s got a closet full of them; a martial artist’s outfit gets pretty disgusting after one training session.)

The Druid thought it would be a good idea to cast Remove Curse on it - and it worked! Now they had a naked man freezing to death in the snow near the monsters that had had a reason to curse him. He was probably better off as a fox.
