Who passes this law? Who signs it?
Exactly. Exactly.
Our system fucking sucks and is designed to protect land owners which is why we’re in this situation.

Ban corporations/private companies from holding empty residential housing. Problem solved. Not complicated. Our system fucking sucks and is designed to protect land owners which is why we’re in this situation. This is fucking up our entire society, slowly bringing us down, we’re losing to China. This change needs to happen soon otherwise we’re going to see the working class get milked hard enough that our real economy will collapse.
This is very, very bad for the future outlook of our country. It’s real, we’re in it. Something significant is going to have to change soon.
Ban corporate ownership of residential housing and implement a land value tax. Problem solved. Won’t happen though, probably shouldn’t even give a shit to keep writing this.
If it’s hot outside, we can raise the price of water and ice cream.
If people are starving after a natural disaster, we can raise the price of everything because they’re desperate and have no alternatives.
it has been discussed to death with no new arguments on either side
And alas, we continue to put more CO2 into the air and the planet keeps warming.
Amazing how you get downvoted with no reply even though your comment is the truth. People who claim to be environmentalists who are also against nuclear energy are seriously dumb.
Yea, amazing wasn’t the right word choice. Probably should have used “absurd”, “ridiculous” or “bizarre” instead.
I guess “landslide” is pretty subjective. The difference was 74 electoral votes, 7,059,526 voters. He only won
Trump won Michigan by 10,704 votes in 2016, Clinton won the popular vote by 2,868,686 votes.

I don’t like this system so I’m done speculating.
Okay so I’ll say he will win in 2024 so then I’ll be wrong as well. It would be crazy if he won as a convicted felon, after being impeached twice, after losing in 2020 by a landslide.
That’s probably why he won’t win again. It would be amazing to have a convicted felon as president, he’d go from being a distraction to being the thing that causes serious unrest.
The American people, at least that’s what the Founding Fathers would have said.
Look at this graph, when you know, then you know. Fuck all this distraction from the actual problem, orange man is a distraction.

Making people in society feel like they own nothing and are getting milked by those few who do own everything is a good way to see things break down, it’s happening real time, we’re watching it right now in the US.
This wouldn’t be a problem IF content creators were paid a fair share. I wouldn’t actually mind ads nearly as much knowing that the channels I enjoy watching were getting paid reasonably for every ad that I watched. Google has the technology to make it possible.
I look forward to seeing the cost of insurance in flood prone areas go up and up and up. No way to get people to move preemptively due to climate change other than to make them go bankrupt first. STOP fucking bailing them out, STOP making US citizens pay for the shitty decisions of red states.
If they’re firing people for this then the way they judge employee productivity is incorrect. What I want to know is what did these employees even do day to day? Sounds like a whole bunch of bullshit job positions to me. Wells Fargo is a shit leech corporation, drain on society, middle-man hell.
You can’t play Helldivers 2 because of the anti cheat it has.
Wrong, entirely. I have played Helldivers 2 on Linux Mint using Proton Experimental compatibility through steam.
I thought I would never switch to Linux, and here we are.
Uber effectively weaseled their way into the taxi industry by somehow enticing drivers to work for them while also assuming all of the liabilities. Truly, capitalism at its finest.
