Tl;Dr: Zeex/subhook, an 800+ star repository, went offline. A few big repositories depend on it as a submodule.

My guess is that somebody has already forked it if it’s a dependency and so somebody else will just republish it.
Yep, a few forks were identified within a few hours. I think the maintainers had forks too.
some forks have outdated commits, the latest one recorded by wayback machine last month is

btw, the mirror linked in the github conversation is also out of date in relation to the original repo.
