Hey, I was thinking about our previous discussion, and I wanted to mention something. I plan to take in a cat from the street or adopt one, but I won’t buy one. Why? Because in my religion, buying or selling cats is forbidden, although raising them is perfectly fine.
As for dogs, it is also forbidden to buy or sell them unless they are intended for hunting or guarding. Additionally, dogs are not allowed inside the house, so they can’t be kept as pets.
However, this rule isn’t strictly enforced in my country, even though this its official religion.
Regardless of your religion’s rules, buying or selling a pet is absurd. I mean a pet is like a friend, or companion. You wouldn’t buy a friend, correct?
Now go find yourself a cat, but before that please make sure that you are ready for the responsibilities and expenses that come with owning a pet. They need food, healthcare and love, like humans.
