The wreck of one of the most storied US Navy submarines of World War II has been found in the South China Sea eight decades after its last patrol, the Navy’s History and Heritage Command said Thursday.
This is amazing. Looks like her outer doors are open in the model, wonder if they were setting up to attack. Hard to tell but looks like the stern imploded too but the bow did not, meaning the depth charge only partially flooded the hull and the men aft had to wait a while to die. :(
